How does Seresto Flea and Tick Collar for Small Dogs work?

Seresto collar for dogs contains two active ingredients imidacloprid (that controls flea infestations) and flumethrin (that kills and repels ticks). It is designed using a unique polymer matrix technology that releases and spreads these two ingredients from the site of direct contact over the skin surface, from the head to toe including the tail. With a sustained-release technology, the ingredients get replenished continuously for 8 months.

Both the ingredients work in synergy to kill and/or repel new ticks within 6 hours after the initial 48 hours of applying the collar. The collar kills new fleas within 2 hours after 24 hours of application. It prevents further infestations for 8 consecutive months.

Direction for use

• Weigh your dog and select the appropriate Seresto Dog Collar. Seresto collar is available in the following packs:
  • Seresto Collar for Small Dogs Up to 18 lbs
  • Seresto Collar for Large Dogs Over 18 lbs
• Remove the collar from its protective bag and unroll it. Ensure no remnants from the plastic connectors remain inside the collar.
• Put the collar around your dog’s neck and insert the end of the collar through the buckle. Pull the excess collar through the loop(s).
• Fit your 2 fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck to make sure that it is neither too tight nor too loose.
• Cut the excess collar to a length no greater than 1 inch (2 cm) beyond the loop(s).
• Do not cut the excess collar if fitting it on a growing puppy.
• Do not bathe your dog more than once per month to maintain the effectiveness of the collar.
• Replace with a new collar after 8 months for optimal protection.
