Revolution Plus is a broad-spectrum spot-on treatment for cats. The quick-drying formula is suitable for cats and kittens from 8 weeks of age, weighing at least 2.8 lbs. It prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis. The treatment kills adult fleas and treats and prevents flea infestations. It further treats and controls tick infestations caused by lone-star ticks, Gulf Coast ticks, American dog ticks and black-legged ticks. Revolution Plus combines Selamectin and Sarolaner as active ingredients to offer protection against parasites with dual action against internal and external parasites. Selamectin kills parasites by interfering with their glutamate-gated chloride channels, causing paralysis and death of the parasites including fleas, flea eggs, heartworms, ear mites, roundworms, hookworms and. Sarolaner eliminates parasites through interference with their GABA-gated chloride channels, leading to an increase in nerve stimulation and death of the target parasites such as fleas, ticks and ear mites.
